Academic Interests

Dr. Bonilla is a clinical nephrologist who specializes in onconephrology and glomerular diseases. In particular, he is developing a clinic to evaluate and manage patients with kidney-related complications from cancer and its treatment. Dr. Bonilla is a member of the Social Media Committee for the American Society of Onconephrology. He is also a course instructor for the GlomCon virtual glomerular disease fellowship and a coordinator for the onconephrology section of the GlomCon Ibero-Latin America magazine. Additionally, he serves as a speaker for the Salvadorean Renal Foundation.
