Academic Interests

Dr. Wan’s interests include development and application of statistical and computational methods to medical sciences (e.g., clinical trials, pre-clinical studies, epidemiology), especially, on diabetes and health services and outcome research. In terms of statistical methodologies, Dr. Wan is interested in the following methods: cost-effectiveness analysis, Meta-analysis, Medicaid and Medicare claims data analyses, linear mixed model, generalized linear mixed model, growth mixture model, experimental design including adaptive clinical trial designs, biomarker analysis, semi-parametric regression, response surface methodology, genetic algorithms, and interaction analysis of multi-drug combinations.
