Academic Interests

Dr. Mokhlesi’s research has focused on obstructive sleep apnea, with a specific focus on REM-related sleep-disordered breathing, perioperative complications in patients with sleep apnea, as well as best treatment strategies in patients with obesity hypoventilation syndrome. He is also interested in studying the impact of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy on metabolic and cardiovascular outcomes in obstructive sleep apnea.
