Academic Interests

Dr. Reddy’s academic interests focus on determining novel therapies for patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD). She is the principal investigator in clinical trials involving epidermal growth factor receptor antagonists, new classes of vasopressin V2 receptor antagonists, and silencing RNA molecules. In ADPKD. She is involved in a number of registries including the COHORT and Biomarkers studies aimed at determining novel markers of disease severity in children and adults with ADPKD. As a member of the ADPKD center of excellence Dr. Reddy is involved in more than 700 families and 2000 patients with ADPKD. These efforts have led to the determination of a novel gene responsible for polycystic kidney disease, the GANAB gene.

Clinical Interests

Dr. Reddy focuses primarily on improving the quality of care and clinical outcomes for patients with end stage renal disease (ESRD) on hemodialysis. Dr. Reddy started an in-center nocturnal dialysis program in 2008, the first dialysis center to offer in-center nocturnal dialysis program in the city of Chicago. She is heavily involved in the care of patients with autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, chronic kidney disease and patients with ESRD on hemodialysis
