Academic Interests

Dr. Nicolae research falls into three areas: the genetics of complex diseases, with an emphasis on asthma related phenotypes, statistical genetics, and theoretical statistics. The current focus of his genetics research is on developing statistical and computational methods for DNA and RNA sequencing data, on data integration, and on system-level approaches.
