Academic Interests
-
Dr. Glushak is the Medical Director for the Chicago South EMS system. He is active locally and nationally to promote the advancement of paramedic and EMT services, with particular interest in enhancing their role in public health and prevention. He is also active in disaster planning and preparation and other first responder issues.
Dr. Glushak also coordinates the International Medical Transport Program for patients who require evacuation or repatriation when suffering acute medical conditions abroad and those requiring international referral to centers of excellence for complex medical problems.

Emergency medical services (pre-hospital care),prevention and public health (assisting seniors at risk),infectious disease threats to first responders, hospital diversion, international medical transport systems and travel medical assistance, international referral and second opinion programs, aeromedicine
