Academic Interests

Dr. German is a preventive cardiologist with an interest cardiovascular disease risk assessment in apparently healthy individuals. He has served on committees with the American Heart Association and American Society for Preventive Cardiology, and is recognized as a leader in the field. He has a particular interest in physical activity research, seeking to better understand how physical activity and exercise mediate cardiovascular health, and has ample experience utilizing large population cohort studies to answer important scientific questions. In addition to his clinical and research endeavors, he has a passion for teaching and coaching the next generation of preventive cardiologists.
