Academic Interests

Dr. Chen is interested in the health disparities in the Asian population, pharmacogenomics, hospital medicine. Before Dr. Chen became a physician, he received his Doctor of Pharmacy from University of Illinois and also worked as a pharmacy technician and pharmacist for 8 years. He has a particular interest in medication reconciliation process, cost effective prescribing, and quality improvements to decrease costs of care and improve health outcomes. Dr. Chen is also interested in medical education.
