Academic Interests

Dr. Schoettler investigates the genetic risk of asthma and the impact of genetic variants on the immune system. He has a particular interest in modeling the cellular responses of lung-resident innate and adaptive immune cells and deciphering how disease-associated genetic variants perturb these responses. The goals of his research are to discover novel gene targets in asthma and related diseases.
