Academic Interests

Dr. O'Sullivan is a combined adult and pediatric endocrinologist whose clinical and research interests focus on preventing and managing obesity and type 2 diabetes in children and as well as improving the transition of adolescents with endocrine conditions from pediatric to adult healthcare providers. Her prior research investigated the relationship between sleep deprivation in adolescents and cardiovascular outcomes including abnormalities of glucose and insulin homeostasis. In addition, she examined the incidence of obstructive sleep apnea in adolescents with type 2 diabetes.
