Academic Interests

Dr. Martinchek's academic interests include preoperative assessment and management of geriatric patients. Her focus includes geriatric assessment of patients for solid organ transplantation, particularly kidney transplantation.
 

Clinical Interests

Dr. Martinchek sees patients in many different care settings. She is a Geriatrician and primary care physician for patients at the South Shore Senior Center. She also sees patients for geriatric consultation at the Successful Aging and Frailty Evaluation (SAFE) clinic, where she performs comprehensive geriatric assessments and frailty evaluations. Additionally, she works with the transplant nephrology team to perform frailty evaluations for patients being evaluated for kidney transplantation.
